Sen. Moore fights for lower electric bills
Requests Cape Wind/National Grid agreement be reconsidered
Senator Richard T. Moore,
D-Uxbridge, believes that individual consumers and the state economy will be harmed by National Grid's deal to purchase high cost electric power from the Cape Winds project. In a letter to the Massachusetts Public Utilities Commission, the veteran lawmaker requests "that the Department reconsider its approval of the Cape Wind/National Grid power sales agreement in view of the significantly reduced purchase prices for wind-generated electricity submitted by NSTAR and other utilities.
