Background

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty. - President John F. Kennedy

Memorial Day is a time to recommit ourselves to the values and principles of America for which our veterans fought. What better monument to our fallen heroes than for all Americans to strive to be better, more active citizens proudly exercising the basic freedoms and responsibilities for which they fought and sacrificed - voting, participating in public meetings, supporting and encouraging our public officials and employees, making our communities, our Commonwealth and our country better for each succeeding generation.
