February 16, 2006 - Senator Richard T. Moore (D-Uxbridge) recently met staff and advocates from Head Start in Northbridge during the Early Education and Care and School Age Programs Advocacy Day. The group was among the many that visited the State House lobbying for state funding to build strong early education programs, the staff needed to run them, and a move toward universal preschool programs. Head Start is a preschool program that provides services to low-income families. Head Start programs across the state have been supporting families and educating children for 40 years. |
