Senator Moore welcomes local “Unsung Heroines” to the State House

March 9, 2006 - Senator Richard T. Moore (D-Uxbridge) recently welcomed Unsung Heroines Julie Woods of Uxbridge, Elaine Malloy of Hopedale and Jennifer Walsh of Milford to the State House. Senator Moore presented Senate Citations to all three women who were selected as Massachusetts Community Unsung Heroines of 2006 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women.

The Commission received over 450 nominations from every city and town in the Commonwealth. The Heroines of 2006 represent the unheralded women who don’t make the news, but make a difference in their community.
