May 8, 2006 - Senator Moore’s coffee hours, originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 10th, have been rescheduled for Thursday, May18 at the Northbridge Senior Center, 20 Highland Street, Northbridge from 8:30 to 10:00am. This event is part of the Senator Moore’s district-wide celebration of May as “Older Americans Month.”
“Senior Citizens play a vital role in my district and indeed throughout Massachusetts,” said Moore. “They are often some of the most active and knowledgeable residents in the Commonwealth, making their voices particularly valuable to the leaders and policy makers in Boston. In honor of Elder Americans Month, it is only right that we reaffirm our commitment to the elders of Massachusetts and make sure that their voices are heard on Beacon Hill.”
Senior citizens and any other resident of the Worcester & Norfolk senatorial district can visit with Senator Moore at the Northbridge Senior Center from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on May 18th. Constituents are welcome to visit with the senator, have coffee and pastries, and take the opportunity to discuss current issues and concerns.
Senator Moore represents the Worcester and Norfolk district, which consists of the towns of Bellingham, Blackstone, Douglas, Dudley, Hopedale, Mendon, Milford, Millville, Northbridge, Oxford, Southbridge, Sutton, Uxbridge, and Webster.
