May 12, 2006 - Senator Richard T. Moore (D-Uxbridge) invited Jack DeManche, a junior at Uxbridge High School, to “shadow” him for a day at the State House in Boston. The goal of the visit was to introduce Jack to the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of a state legislator in Massachusetts. Job Shadow Day is a nationwide effort, which began in 1998, to introduce young people to the world of work by giving them an up-close look at the workplace.
