What does 250 bills and a cup of coffee get?

Sen. Moore's Legislative and Budget Director Timothy Hoppe, Senate Clerk William F. Welch, Sen. Moore and Moore's Office Manager, Debra Montville.

January 10, 2007...Today, Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, as a part of a ten-year tradition, delivered hot coffee, treats and heartfelt gratitude to the Senate Clerk William Welch and his staff on the last day of bill filing. With a box of coffee, donuts and 250 bills to file, Senator Moore and staff traveled to the clerk’s office to in hopes to get continued support and assistance from them.

Historically, Sen. Moore is among the legislators who file the most bills in the Legislature and this session is no different. The Senate Clerk’s office has always been instrumental, accommodating and friendly during the whole bill filing process. As the deadline quickly approaches, Sen. Moore hopes the small gesture will sweeten them up before they tackle the hard work ahead of them.

Additionally, Senate Clerk Welch is Sen. Moore’s constituent from Milford who was just unanimously elected to serve as Clerk of the Senate for another term.
