February 16, 2007...Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge and Rep. John V. Fernandes, D-Milford welcomed the 2006 Milford High School Varsity Football team to the State House for a luncheon organized by Moore in honor of their championship season. The team, led by Head Coach John Dagnese and team captains Bryant Johnson, Brian Flumere, Michael Oliveri and Dan Hulyk, had a regular season record of 10 wins and 1 loss. On Dec. 2, 2007 they were crowned the MIAA 2006 Central Massachusetts/Western Massachusetts Division IA Super Bowl Champions with a convincing 20-0 victory over South Hadley High School. During the lunch, Sen. Moore and Rep. Fernandes presented the team with a Joint Resolution in recognition of their Super Bowl victory. |
