Milford resident visits the State House for Cancer Awareness Day June 6, 2007...Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge recently welcomed Sue Pagnini of Milford to the State House for the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Awareness Day. During the program, Sen. Moore joined his legislative colleagues in unveiling the newly formed Legislative Caucus on Cancer Awareness of which he is a member. The Caucus is dedicated to rallying support for cancer programs and services. It is chaired by Sen. Edward Augustus, Jr., D-Worcester and Rep. Robert Fennell, D-Lynn and will serve as a clearinghouse of cancer information and education for members of the General Court. In addition to her advocacy work for cancer awareness, Pagnini was one of the lead organizers in the very successful Greater Milford-Blackstone Valley Relay for Life in May, which raised over $140, 000 for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. |
