Moore, Alicea host Southbridge’s Cops and Kids Program at State House Students wish Governor a happy birthday August 29, 2007...Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, and Rep. Geraldo Alicea, D-Charlton, welcomed Southbridge Police Sergeant José Dingui and about 60 students from the Cops and Kids Program in Southbridge to the State House on July 31st. The legislators invited the group to Boston for a tour and luncheon catered by Jean’s Catering of Milford. While at the State House, the group got a surprise visit from Governor Patrick and wished him a happy 51st birthday. The Cops and Kids program is funded through a grant of the Legislature through the Department of Education. It is designed to provide the youth of the community with after school and summer activities as well as familiarize the students with the police on a positive basis. |
