Moore celebrates grand opening of Milestones Restaurant home of the "Ultimate Hot Dog" November 15, 2007...Serving as a guest judge for the competitive and highly anticipated "Ultimate Sauce" contest, Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, joined with the Seven Hills Foundation yesterday to celebrate the grand opening of Milestones Restaurant on Main Street in Uxbridge serving hot dogs, chili, nachos, baked beans, ice cream and an assortment of pies from Joyce's Pies and Bakery of Leominster. The Restaurant will be staffed by individuals with developmental disabilities who participate in Seven Hills Family Service's CareerSource program. Seven Hills works to advance and sponsor rehabilitative, housing, educational, healthcare, social, and related services on behalf of persons with physical, developmental, emotional, or other life challenges. They currently offer program sites at 140 locations throughout Massachusetts and offer support services to 21,000 individuals through affiliate organizations. Through the CareerSource program, they are able to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to prepare for, obtain, and maintain their highest level of community based employment. |
