Blackstone’s Timothy Greene joins Moore’s State House staff December 4, 2007 ... Timothy P. Greene has been appointed to serve as Director of Constituent Services for Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge. Greene succeeds Shawn Collins of Webster who was recently promoted to the position of Director of Communications and External Relations in the Senator’s State House office. Moore’s long-time aide, Denise Chan of Hopedale recently left the office to pursue her doctorate in Hong Kong, where she will be living with her husband for the next few years. A 2007 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Greene is the latest member of a family with a long tradition of public service. His grandfather John F. Greene was a longtime Chief of the Blackstone Fire Department. Tim’s father, Thomas, is a Captain in the Massachusetts State Police and his mother, Donna, works in the Probation Department at the Uxbridge District Court, and his uncle, Richard, is the Deputy Director of Human Resources for the Department of Correction. As a fitness trainer for General Dynamics since graduation from college, Greene’s passion for finding solutions to the crisis of childhood obesity and his commitment to helping people achieve their full potential made him quick to accept Senator Moore’s offer of the State House position. Senator Moore, who chairs the Legislature’s Committee on Health Care Financing, is a major sponsor of legislation to promote nutrition and exercise in school programs. “Tim is a great addition to my office and I’m confident that he will assist the constituents with the utmost determination and compassion,” said Moore. “As a resident of Blackstone, Tim Greene understands the needs of my district and will certainly be helpful in cutting through the red-tape of state bureaucracy.” In his new role, Timothy will handle communication with constituents, staff district office hours and will research and respond to constituent requests for assistance. |
