Moore invites residents to State House for holidays

December 7, 2007 ... Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, would like to invite area residents to view holiday decorations on display throughout the State House. The decorations, on display in the Senate Reading Room, Senate Lobby, and Senate President’s office, will be on display throughout the holiday season and are open to the public. 

“The State House is such a historic and beautiful building, especially during the holidays,” said Moore. “Should residents be in Boston during the holidays, this is a great opportunity to visit and tour the State House.”

The Senate Reading Room is open to the public during regular business hours when the Senate is not in session, and the Senate President’s office will be open for tours during the following date and times:

Friday, December 7th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
Monday, December 10th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
Tuesday, December 11th 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
Friday, December 14th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
Monday, December 17th 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 
Wednesday, December 19th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
Thursday, December 20th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
Friday, December 21st 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The holiday décor was designed by Jacqueline Lane of Sagamore, and decorated by volunteers from Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich, Plimoth Plantation, Thornton W. Burgess Society in Sandwich and the Plymouth Garden Club.
