December 21, 2007 ... Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, and Rep. John V. Fernandes, D-Milford, recently welcomed the Hopedale High School Boys’ Cross Country team to the State House for a luncheon in honor of their championship season.

The team, led by head coach Joe Drugan, finished their 2007 season with an impressive victory in the Division II State Championship, scoring 107 points, 25 better than their nearest competitor, Bishop Feehan High School of Attleboro. This is the team’s second Division II State Championship in the past 3 years, and their third consecutive appearance in the finals.
