March 12, 2008 ... In front of a packed State House crowd, Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, chaired a hearing of the influential Health Care Financing. The committee heard testimony on S. 2526, legislation to promote cost containment, transparency and efficiency in the delivery of quality health care, filed last week by Senate President Therese Murray, D-Plymouth. In addition to being the Senate chairman of the committee, Sen. Moore was also a key architect of the sweeping legislation, which aims to target and address the cost-drivers associated with the Massachusetts health care system. Sen. Moore is widely recognized as a national leader in health care, and is consistently at the forefront of improving the quality and affordability of health care throughout Massachusetts. |
