Moore commemorates Women’s History Month

April 30, 2008 ... Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, recently presented a Resolution commemorating the month of March as Women’s History Month in the Commonwealth to Lorraine Gorham, President of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts. Sen. Moore was the lead sponsor of the Resolution in the Senate, and made the presentation to Ms. Gorham along with Senate President Therese Murray, D-Plymouth.

Moore meets with Southbridge Credit Union officers

April 30, 2008 ... During their recent State House visit with the Massachusetts Credit Union League, Thomas Smalarz and Terry Lisle of the Southbridge Credit Union met with Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, to discuss their legislative interests. 

The Massachusetts Credit Union League, Inc. represents state and federally-chartered credit unions operating within the Commonwealth. Formed as the first credit union trade association in the nation, the League serves as the only state trade association, serving 206 credit unions that are cooperatively owned by 2.4 million consumers as members, and operates as part of the Credit Union National Association.

April 9, 2008 ... Two Sutton High School freshmen, Adam Creamer and Frank Brogie, have been selected to participate in the 2008 Emerald Isles Tour of the New England Colonials International Basketball Club during the April school vacation week. The two Sutton “Sammies” will compete with Irish basketball teams in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Later this year, Irish student athletes will visit New England, according to Sen. Richard T. April 4, 2008 ... During Thursday’s formal session, Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, and his colleagues in the Senate approved legislation authorizing $150 million in local transportation aid and $2.4 billion in federal funds for road-and-bridge projects while also installing unprecedented cost-containment reforms to help close the $15 billion to $19 billion transportation funding gap.
