Part of the pressures felt by people and their families are the costs of utilities, food, and health insurance. Recognizing this, Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, is urging his constituents and Massachusetts residents to examine all of their options when seeking health insurance coverage after unemployment.

Moore, Fernandes Announce Reopening of Traffic over Mill Street Bridge

January 27, 2008, Hopedale... After many months of extended construction time, redrafts of designs, and environmental delays, the Mill Street Bridge in Hopedale has been reopened for automobile access. Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, and Rep. John V. Fernandes, D-Milford, have been working tirelessly with the Massachusetts Highway Department in ensuring the speediest reopening possible for the bridge, after facing many obstacles throughout the reconstruction process.

For more than 30 years in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Citizens’ Legislative Seminar (CLS) has served as a valuable forum for residents to learn and understand about the intricacies of the Massachusetts Legislature and Massachusetts’s governmental processes. CLS was established in 1976 through a joint effort of the Massachusetts State Senate and the University of Massachusetts. Sen. Richard T. January 20, 2009...Citing recent reports documenting substantial mental health distress and adjustment difficulties among military personnel returning from combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, Sen. Today, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) convened the second of two public hearings on draft regulations to implement a new state law that imposes strict limitations on marketing practices of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.

January 9, 2009...At a packed Department of Public Health (DPH) regulatory hearing today in Boston, Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, urged the DPH to tighten rules governing pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers’ funding of clinical trials and research. The draft regulations are being developed to implement the comprehensive health care quality improvement and cost containment law passed by the Legislature last August. Sen. Moore, along with Senate President Therese Murray, D-Plymouth, was the driving force behind the legislation.
