Moore gets update on Oxford’s Rt. 20 reconstruction project February 1, 2012 ... Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, inspects construction drawing with Arthur Frost of District 3, MADOT, at a planning meeting for the reconstruction of the Charlton-Oxford segment of Route 20. Safety and drainage improvements expected to cost $30 million with 80% federal participation are planned for the 2016-2020 time period. The three mile segment from Richardson Corner to the Route 12 and 20 intersections will widen the road to four twelve foot lanes, 8 foot shoulders and a four foot median with guard rail or Jersey barriers. Senator Moore has fought along with former State Rep. David Peters for safety improvements along Rt. 20 since entering the Senate and successfully advocated for the Charlton segment known as JENS Highway. The Auburn segment is scheduled for reconstruction in the 2013-2014 |
