Moore recognizes local Scouting unit’s first Eagle Scout
August 7, 2012 ... Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, joins with Rep. Kevin Kuros, R-Uxbridge, to recognize Joshua DeNoncour of Troop 21 Millville at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Joshua is the first member of Troop 21 Millville to earn the highest rank in Boy Scouts. At the ceremony, Sen. Moore presented Joshua with a Senate Citation in honor of his achievement.
Sen. Moore makes a special effort to attend such events as often as his schedule permits as the attainment of Eagle Scout rank signifies genuine leadership, civic engagement, and community service on the part of the young man being recognized. Over the years, several Eagle Scouts have been selected to serve as interns or members of the Senator's State House staff. |
