Moore introduces notable historian at legislative summit
August 17, 2012 ... Sen. and Mrs. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, welcomed Pulitzer Prize-winning American biographer, presidential historian, and an oft-seen political commentator, Doris Kearns Goodwin to the annual Legislative Summit of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) in Chicago. Sen. Moore, who is Immediate Past President of NCSL, introduced Ms. Goodwin to the assembly of state legislators and legislative staff during the closing plenary session. Ms. Goodwin’s son, Joe Kearns Goodwin, is a Democratic candidate for a seat in the Massachusetts Senate this fall. |
